Default team of a source
Owners and admins can set a default team for the source, in the Default team column of Alert sources or when creating it. It:
- pages that team’s on-call when the alert has no service or a service without a team (the service is not changed);
- is the team of the services this source auto-registers.
The service’s own team always wins. The setup wizard already creates the source with its default team.
Rename and delete a source
On Alert sources, owners and admins can:
- Rename: click the pencil next to the name, edit it and press
Enter (or Esc to cancel). Names take 1 to 120 characters, without leading or trailing spaces.
- Delete: click Delete and type the source name to confirm.
Deleting a source makes its webhook stop accepting alerts immediately (the tool gets the same refusal as an invalid token). The history of alerts and incidents already received is kept, and the deletion cannot be undone. To receive alerts again, create a new source.
