Members are the people in your organization. Only active members can join teams, participate in on-call schedules and act on incidents.

Invite

Owners and admins invite by email under Members. The invitee receives an acceptance link; on acceptance they join the organization with the role set in the invite. For migrations and larger teams, the dashboard supports bulk invites via CSV.
Active members and pending invites consume plan seats. Re-sending an existing invite does not consume an extra seat. If you hit the limit, the invite is rejected — see Plans and limits.

Change someone’s role

Owners and admins can change a member’s role at any time. The change applies immediately to future actions — it does not rewrite history already recorded on incident timelines.

Deactivate

Deactivating a member removes their access without erasing history: the actions they performed remain visible on incident timelines.
Before deactivating someone, check whether they are in an on-call schedule. A schedule whose participant was deactivated may end up with no valid responder at page time.

One person, several organizations

The same user can be a member of several organizations, with different roles in each, and switch between them in the dashboard. For plan limits, someone who is a member of both the root organization and a child of the same tenant counts as one seat.
